I just had to share this with you--a ring I made using guinea fowl feathers. I set the feathers in polymer clay set in a 20mm sterling silver bezel on an adjustable sterling silver band. Imagine this and a little black dress--perfect! This is my idea of over-the-top bling. Fun, fabulous and sure to get you noticed!!!

Personal Truths and Butterflies...

Hello all...here's some new necklaces I've been working on. The first is a collaboration between myself and a client--one of my "Truth Necklaces". These necklaces are designed as a team, with input from start to finish from the client. I incorporate four personal truths printed and sealed in glass vials. The rest of the design is a reflection of the client--favorite colors, stones, c

Hello everyone--I just have to share this with you. Katie Das owns and runs Das Foods, www.dasfoods.com. I met her in my search for unusual salts to use in some of my jewelry designs. I make a line of necklaces and rings incorporating herbs, spices, etc. I call the line "Spice of Life". I'm fascinated… Continue

We're flooded, other states are burning...can you say "Global Warming?" Anyway, been working on some new stuff...these rings are some of my favorites. Extra, Extra, Read All About It...

A couple weeks ago I was contacted by a reporter for the Ft. Myers News-Press. She was writing an aritcle for the Sunday style magazine, Tropicalia. She found me on Etsy, and was planning to do a series of short articles about Etsy and the Florida artists found there. Well, the article was so great! She was especially interested in my "Story Book" necklaces, each one comes

Delicious Myth...

Hello! This asymetrical lariat necklace tells the story of Crocos and Smilax and is part of my "Spice of Life" necklace series. According to Greek mythology, handsome mortal Crocos fell in love with the beautiful nymph Smilax. But alas, his favors were rebuffed by Smilax, and he was turned into a beautiful purple crocus flower. The lampwork goddess (repre

Who'd a Thunk It??

All my friends know me as the "Bone Collector". I work and live on a 30-acre wildlife refuge, and sometimes I find the bones and skeletons of animals that have lived on our property. I really believe that animal bones represent the "spirit" of the animal, and I love to use found animal bones in my designs. So, when I found the skull of a opossum

Mico Musings...

I'm sitting here with Mico on my head. I started a blog last night but in the middle of it, it just dissappeared. Bugs....hate them. This site is so great, very happy to have found it. For all of you who have visited my page and fallen for this tiny monkey, I'll give you a little history. Mico is a pygmy marmoset--the world's smallest true monkey. Pygmies are from Peru, and we have several breeding groups at the Rare Species Conservatory Foundation (RSCF,
