- I've been a craft addict most of my life and the latest incarnation of my craft business is about a month now. Weiswomen Creations is on etsy and is actually a two-person operation - I'm the daughter half of a mother-daughter duo. My mother and I have been talking for years about opening up a business selling our crafts and this summer we finally decided to do it!
I make most of the jewelry on the site and hope to add wine charms, cell phone charms, mosaic items, and more at some point. I also crochet, sew, quilt, and do paper crafts but I'm still learning those! My mom knits and makes cards and tags. She also makes very neat photo cards featuring photographs she's taken as well as some taken by me and my dad (those aren't up yet). I love photography and am looking forward to sharing some of my work.
I live outside Boston with my husband and our cat (Pierre). I just finished my PhD and am doing some consulting work along with working on making Weiswomen Creations a fabulous success! I am new to social networking sites (thanks to being buried in dissertation research for the past several years, so it will take some time for me to figure all this out! Looking forward to participating and meeting some great people!

Bead Show Overload...
So, here I am...dipping my toe into the blogging waters! I've been wanting to start my indiepublic blog for a while but was waiting for inspiration to strike, hopefully this is it! I'm writing this on the limoliner bus from NYC to Boston. I LOVE the limoliner, it's my favorite way to travel to NYC. Comfy chairs, outlet for my laptop, wireless, and free snacks!
