I'm trying to get back to basics with my art. So, I've decided to work on relaxing my style a little bit. Normally I fuss over a painting for days or weeks so I'm making a conscious effort to simplify and focus on color, movement and flow.

I did a really simple version of a couple of these at first...but they seemed really unfinished to me. So, I tweaked them a bit.

Recently Commisioned!

I was recently commisioned to "finish" this piece for someone. It was originally a brooch that someone had bought (the pretty flower). ...but
this woman doesn't wear brooches so she asked me to turn it into a hair
clip. It took over 3 hrs to do this one. I think it turned out pretty
good. :-)

Well, I've landed here at indiepublic and I must say.....nice place you've got here. :-) Seems to be quite a few friendly folks here so I believe I'll just kick back, stir my coffee a bit and see what's going on.
