Handmade Revolution is my new business based in Phoenix, Arizona. I sell indie arts & crafts exclusively on behalf of local and national artists. I’m a crafty gal myself but realize there are others who are far more talented than me! And that’s who I represent — the emerging indie artist. Right now I’m doing shows with the eventual goal of opening a kiosk in an upscale mall next year.
I LOVE to go THRIFTING! I haven’t been in a big-box store for many of my purchases in nearly two-years. I get a lot of everyday stuff at estate sales, and my next big adventure will be heading to local auctions. Our house is a 1950’s red brick ranch that I enjoy decorating with vintage + antique finds. I have a nice collection of aprons, sewing notions and seashells, among other things. My basket collection is crazy, but they always come in handy for so many things (especially corralling the endless stream of toys!). I’ve recently started a mish-mash collection of floral patterned dessert china and silverware with a lot of it dating back to the early 1900’s.
My background includes receiving a B.S. in Psychology from Arizona State University (go Sun Devils!) where I graduated summa cum laude, and several years as an executive assistant. I have a beautiful 5-year old son and loving husband of 8-years. Well, I call him my husband anyways…one of these days we’ll actually get married!
I am new to indie and I am trying to spread my wings a bit. Your store sounds awesome!
I am working on a blog featuring only handmade finds. I post at least one find a day from Etsy or Artfire. Some days more with undiscovered shops or themes. This blog is in an effort to support, showcase, and promote handmade so check it out and become a follower. I also have a weekly jewelry giveaway. Thanks for your support! http://j2fabfunk.blogspot.com
