About Me:
Heather Millott is a Primitive Artist, living in historic Coal City. Her work reflects her love of vintage Halloween folk art. Her favorite medium being acrylics, she enjoys painting silhouettes of Witches, pumpkins, cats, moons and fairy's. Being an avid traveler, Salem Massachusetts is an annual stopping ground for her every October. Salem is an inspiration to her with its wonderful people, architecture, folklore, history and magick. Being a folk artist is something she has always aspired to be. She is a stay at home mother of 4 beautiful children.

Heather also writes a monthly column for the Halloween artists site entitled: "Curious Goods".

Favorite Designers/Artists:
I love period artists, art from the Renaissance period. My favorite painter is John William Waterhouse. I also am shamelessly addicted to primitives, vintage and Halloween folk art. Two of my absolute favorite artists today are Sherry & Ron Byrum of Byrum art http://www.ronbyrum.com, and Jan Pierce of Moonhallow Vintage http://www.moonhallowvintage.com

Just pulled from the root cellar, I finally got these farmhouse pantry jars finished!
Now to grow a few more arms and get to work on halloween stuff I need to get done.

When Will Your Art be Censored?

When will you be censored? Sometimes its only a matter of time. I received word today from my best friend Sherry about an article and a lets say "ruckus" that is occurring in Arkansas.

Its all about censorship and we as artists are all affected by it, as well as its outcome.

Twilight Altered Art Book

I have been missing scrapbooking a lot I have had little time as spring starts Halloween mode for me big time. So I thought I would do one of my altered art books only with a modern theme instead of primitive. I came up with the idea after reading the series of Twilight books by Stephanie Meyer.
