About Me:
Stacey Samuels launched Vintage Rehab, an exquisite new jewelery line, in February of 2008. Vintage Rehab is a uniquely whimsical line featuring antique lockets, charms, and chains seamlessly restored into one-of-a-kind pieces. Her fanciful yet classic designs transport you to the past, reminding you fondly of your grandmothers keepsakes, yet each piece is delightfully wearable, bringing elegance and character to any modern girl's wardrobe.

Stacey's fascination with antique jewelery and her love of design inspired her to create new family heirlooms out of vintage treasures. She tracks down the most beautiful antique lockets, then fixes them up, adding fantastic chains and clasps, and transforms them from someone else's castoffs into your very own fortunate find. In this way, her pieces represent new beginnings while remembering and paying respect to the past. The pieces are not only unique, but have stories to tell. Many of the lockets come intact with original black and white photos or a lock of hair.

Among the delicate layering of vintage chains and distinctive charms, you are sure to find a piece that tugs at your heart. Additionally, you can send in your own vintage jewelry and have Stacey reassemble it into a modern-day gem; the choice is yours. Regardless, Vintage Rehab allows you to bring home an enchanting piece of history, create new memories in it, and pass it down for generations. Stacey Samuels is setting a new precedent for what it truly means to cherish and appreciate vintage jewelry.

Vintage Buddha Locket Necklace

For over a year, I hunted for a vintage Buddha locket for one of my best clients. And, I finally found one! YIPPEE! It was like finding the treasure chest at the end of the map after a long journey. The dimensionality and detail of this locket is amazing. I paired it with a sterling silver chain that is accented… Continue

Vintage Locket Collection

I am always on the hunt for vintage lockets and am very excited about my most recent finds. I stumbled along these heirlooms at a local antique store. They are Victorian, dating back to the late 1800's - early 1900's. All of the pieces are 14k gold-filled and in mint condition. The hea… Continue

The Story Inside a Locket

Lockets are fascinating because they tell a story. When you open an old locket for the first time, a mystery is to be discovered. I love finding ones with the original photographs still in tact. I imagine who wore it and the meaning of the photos inside. Most often they are one's parent… Continue

The Art of Filigree

For centuries, the art of filigree has been used to craft jewelry such as pins, rings and pendants, reaching the height of its popularity during the Art Deco period of the 1920's and 1930's. At the time, this method of producing open patterns was more common than molding or casti… Continue

The History of Cameo Lockets

Throughout history, royalty figures have set the trends for jewelry fashion. In the fifteenth and sixteenth century, Queen Victoria of England popularized cameo lockets. Queen Elizabeth and Catherine the Great also had a very impressive collection of them.

Rattlesnake Guitar Strap

Last summer, my fiance went fishing with his friends. They didn't have much luck that day. Instead of catching fish to cook, he brought back a rattlesnake. It was about 6 feet long with a beautiful diamond pattern. This is a guitar strap that I made with the snake skin. I laced th… Continue

1800's Fan Necklace

While hunting for vintage lockets, I came across this amazing 1800's fan pin made in Portugal by Topazio. The filagree design is gold plated sterling silver that is adorned with painted enamel flowers and a dangling fleur-de-lye charm. Although I mostly create vintage locket necklaces, I… Continue

All Stitched Up

Everyone appreciates the thought put into a handmade, one-of-a-kind gift. This is a poncho I just finished knitting for my mother. It is a simple garter stitch. The yarn changes colors throughout, creating a striped pattern. I wove a strand of leather at the neck that tightens to giv… Continue
