Profile Information

Location:
East Bay, California
About Me:
I love to draw primarily, but I also make one of a kind dolls, pillows, some origami treasures from time to time, as well as sewn things and paintings.
(-:
I am a mom, wifey and an artist...I used to live in Ontario, Canada but took a giant hike across the country - figuritively speaking - to marry a certain artist fellow who is now my husband.
During the days I homeschool my wondrous seven-year-old daughter while attempting to create my artwork at the same time. It works out pretty good...
I have always been a fan of living however works for you, even if it doesn't meet societal norms ~ and I am trying my best to awaken the same realization of the earth experience in my little one. Well, when I'm not being her teacher or trying to inspire her to get her teeth brushed or look both ways when she rides her scooter past a driveway or she's singing high-pitched opera first thing in the morning when my ears aren't quite awake yet..

Spare time consists of getting back to nature (forests, long walks around the lake and in the hills, beaches)...as well as drinking pots and pots of tea (jasmine green tea is my favorite right now), tea parties with Bella, reading books that transport me to magical places and sushi restaurants. I love them, but I don't actually eat sushi (-: Just the veggie kind.
Gender:
Gal
I am a/an:
Independent Artist/Designer, Independent Retailer
(Designers only) I create:
Illustrations - made lovingly into art prints, cool handmade dolls that are both beautiful and functional, some origami pieces that are great for ornaments or whatever can be dreamed up, handmade pillows with unique, original artwork on them...
(Designers only) I am willing to do:
Custom orders, Consignment
(Designers only) My work is sold at:

Homeschool...

This fine Friday happens to be day four of a certain homeschooling experience.. After a nightmare of a public school experience, my sweet little one begged to be homeschooled. So naturally I said "okay", registered as a private school the next morning and started right away with her lessons.

I must say, I am a bit tired. But overall I think this is the best gift I could be given; the company of my daughter. I seem to be able to get MORE creative work done, if that makes any sense. I suppose we… Continue

the birth of spring...

For the Easter holiday this year we will be camping amidst the tallest trees in the world; our stately California redwoods...I don't think I've ever spent an Easter Sunday anywhere but indoors in one venue or another my entire life. It should be lovely (-: And of course the Easter Bunny will easily find us, as he is a forest native himself...

Welcome to Indie!!!

A bunch of us who sell on Etsy.com have already started excepting RME payments!

It is a new online payment site that a lot more people are using now because it is totally free! No FEES!!!!!!
When someone pays you,you get all of your money! Works just like paypal but without the fees. AND they give you $25 for free just for signing up! I didn't want to tell others about it until I actually got my $25 in my bank account and started using it myself. But I have been using it and it is great! So I am spreading the word!
I am so sorry if this sounds or looks like spam. It is not meant to be at all!!! I really just want to tell you about a new way to except online payments without any fees.
