What is it?

Handmade items, handmade artisans, handmade code, handmade friendships. This is the revolution of the handmade playground. It starts with a simple guy, Adam, also known on etsy as infivision. He decided he wanted a better social community to promote handmade. While ning offers this to some extent, he felt it was too generic and has a poor user interface. In a quest for something better he developed http://byhand.me. Designed and created in under a week ByHand serves as a free social network for those who make handmade and those who buy handmade. About Me:

I am a 33 yr. old wife and a mother of one with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Roanoke College. I greatly enjoy soapmaking and reading. You'll never find me without a "to be read pile" on hand, or a stockpile of soap taking over my home.

I work as a soapmaker for a living and sell my soaps under the business name, Rebecca's Soap Delicatessen. All of my soaps are handmade by me from scratch using the cold process soapmaking method. You'll love the difference my soaps make on your skin. And they last longer than commercial bars, too!

All of my soaps are made from sustainable palm oil that is harvested in Malaysia.
