Oh sorry... I followed a coupled of your links there and therewere so many latin references that I thought youd did speak spanish. Sorry, my mistake. Either way, what i was saying was that your art is very full of colors and life and there is so much feeling conveyed through the expressions in the faces... the jewelry too... beautiful.
That was all... nothing else.
Sorry again...
Martita, cuantas cosas preciosas! cuantos colores, tanta vida y sentimiento en tus pinturas!!! Fantastica! Tu trabajo en joyas es tmabien impactante!
Saludos!
As a native Californian, Latina of Mexican ancestry, urban dweller and a "child" of popular culture, my work is greatly influenced by my world. Modern and religious icons intrigue me and are a huge influence over the type of artwork I create. You might see images of the Virgin of Guadalupe on one piece and on the next an image of a pin-up girl from the 1940's. I use vibrant colors in all of my work and like to mimic the hues found in warmer climates. I take pride in using many recycled, reused materials in my artwork. One of the joys I feel in upcycling materials is seeing a previously faded object restyled, reworked into a shining, new statement.
I find many joys in the work I create. From the initial idea, to implementation, and completion, there is great joy in seeing the idea through from start to finish. It is also, always a great pleasure when a customer views my work and is motivated and moved enough to buy it. Wow....that makes for a great day.
I am happy in the work I do. I hope that joy, happiness can be perceived in the artwork I create.
