Oh Julia... I am so very sorry to hear that you have been ill. I really hope you are on the road to recovery now...
I know only too well what it's like when your health puts life on hold for a while... I understand how depressing and frustrating it can become...
Because we've still been really struggling financially this year, I've been torn between moving forward with my art or just putting it on hold and working.
I've resisted the latter and so that's why we've decided to try and make something of my artworks and doing what I love. Not that I expect to make a living from it - LOL - but any extra income would help.
In September I will be looking once more for part time work but also setting up my art online in various outlets and see how it goes. You never know if you never have a go eh?
I notice that I spend most of my time creating things for other people! Which I love doing but which takes up probably too much of my time so will have to look at that too in the future. Especially since recently I am learning to work digitally too which is very challenging and takes a long time to master.
I recently made what I called a "Blessing Book" for a dear friend's wedding which I really enjoyed working on. I found a vintage book about love and marriage which luckily was in as-new condition and altered it. Collaging the covers and every inside page with vintage images of love, romance, poetry and the second half of photos of the happy couple. She really loved it and everyone in my monthly Women's Group chipped in to buy it for her as her wedding gift from us all. I would love to make more Altered books and other commissioned pieces and hope I get more opportunities in the future. Perhaps when I have some of these piece on display on my website, people will like to order something similar.
At some point I will get the book back from her to photograph and when I do I will upload it onto my website for you to see.
Oh well, I'd better head off to bed now but lovely to hear from you and I'm sending you much love, light and healing blessings.
Please do keep in touch ~ I enjoy sharing our creative journeys!
Hugs,

Hi Julia!
Oh your work is so beautiful and has blossomed beyond belief! Congratulations on your Etsy shop and hope it is going well for you.
My life has been crazy busy and I find it hard to keep up with everything...
I'm about to go away for a couple of weeks for a long overdue visit to aging parents and have a zillion things to do before I go...
Excitingly I am in the midst of creating my website - finally! and eventually I hope to have my artworks on Etsy too!
Love to hear how you're doing and sorry it's been so long between chats!
Where DOES the time go?
Brightest Blessings and hugs to you,
Raine xox )O( xox
