About Me:
Maureen~Independent Artist

I learned how to Macrame in the late 60's. The first thing I ever made was a jute plant hanger. I began designing hemp jewelry in high school in the 70's. Back then I made jewelry for myself & friends. I started selling my jewelry over ten years ago at head shops, on eBay under ID hemp-jewelry, festivals, concerts, art & craft shows.

My first online hemp jewelry shop was called: Handcrafted Hemp Designs ~ One of a Kynd Hemp Jewelry. After taking a break for a few years, I have reopened my store on eCrater & shortened the name.

I'm an independent artist that designs and creates all the hemp jewelry, out of my home in the bay area. I've been married for over 30 years to a fellow deadhead. We have three wonderful children. The oldest two are in college now & my youngest is in high school. I'm a SAHM & I love being home for my family. I also enjoy sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking & gardening.

Have a Grateful Day ~*~ Peace & Hippieness, Maureen

You may if you like, but I suggest that you don't. It might cause your hemp jewelry to discolor & cause damage (fuzzy) to the macrame knot pattern. If… Continue

Hemp Jewelry: How to Buy the Correct Size

A tape measure works the best, but if you don't have one you can use a piece of string to measure. Take the string & wrap it around your neck, wrist or ankle. Then mark or cut the string to the length you like. Then you can easily measure the string on a ruler or yard stick. I also suggest that you add 1/4-1/2" inches to this num… Continue
