Hi All, I just discovered ShopHandmade.com. Does anyone have a shop with both Etsy and ShopHandmade so that you can give me some feedback? I could have a few items in each, but that would make it harder for me to promote, etc. Also, is it easier...

About Me:
I have always felt the need to "create" with my hands.

When my daughter was born 11 years ago, my life shifted. I began herbal studies (really learning about things that I had been taught all my life), and began making Goddesses. My first one came to me while playing PlayDoh (the best toy EVER!), and I decided to buy some FEMO and make her permanent. It is all a blur from there. I wore my Goddess for strength and sanity :), and people were attracted to her. I had to get used to both adults and kids just walking up to her and touching her...so I decided to hang her lower so everyone wouldn't grab my boobs, LOL!! I then began making Goddesses for my friends who were dealing with "life" things. All of sudden, the Goddesses were ready to come out, and I began selling them. They have changed considerably over the years, and I believe they personify whatever is currently needed in the universe.

I am married to my opposite, the mama of two, love big dogs and hope to be a dog trainer one day (my German Shepard puppy has come into my life as my teacher :)..), am becoming a Green Witch, am a Gypsy at heart, and will never go back to sales but love the experience I have gained there. When I do get to read for pleasure, I read historical fiction. I just published my book, "Goddess in the Groove ~ Musings From the Goddess Within", http://www.goddessinthegroove.com/goddessbook.html

Goddess in the Groove

Did I miss something?

I love coming here and checking out the new artists. I am thrilled when I find artifacts I love, artists I can relate to and learn from. Though I know there are "buyers" here on Indie, I always saw it as a place to network with other artists. Of course, buying and selling comes as a bonus....
Is it just me who is a bit annoyed with the "ads" in the comment sections? Especially the ones with HUGE Etsy Mini's of their own work? Recently, I saw one member who wrote "Ads will be removed". Good for y… Continue

Thank you for the comment! Yeah, I like enhancing the eyes. They are my favorite part to paint on a portrait.

Hi~~~
You know... your goddesses make me feel more honoring about my physical being. I always wondered why they were shaped like that until my body began to reflect a similar silhouette. So, whenever I become saddened by the change, I am reminded that I am becoming more archetypal... and this is good!

Thanks,Heike!

I ADORE your goddesses!

I liked seeing that you have a German Shephard ... I'll have to show you a piece of my artwork with a cowgirl & GS dog!

Cool about your book, too.

These are 'T-Toos'. None have been placed on the epidermis that we know of. But thanks. Someone recently said that my work was, calligraphic style, and I believe they liked it too. Interesting how many names there can be for doodling. I like to call it "Whittling the White"
Appreciate the visit.
