I somehow missed your reply from before. I can see how you're frustrated with silk threads. I have gotten frustrated with it many times, too. I hate how if my skin is a little rough a little strand of silk will get caught and I'll have to smooth it out. They are so spoiled, best word I can find to describe it.

Shrinky dinks are a ton of fun! Did you see the Etsy video on blip tv? They show that you can use #6 plastics ( such as strawberry containers) that you can't recycle (at least in NYS) they have the same chemical make-up and use them just as shrinky dinks. HOW COOL is that!!!???

I used to do all of my piecing and quilting by hand, then I started getting arthritis in my fingers and thumbs. I gradually shifted to machine work (kicking and screaming the whole time!) I do miss the handwork, and still have one project I'm hand quilting, but I can only do an hour or so at a time, so it's going to take awhile!
