- My name is Daisy D’eath (pronounced Deeth) and I am a teenage vampire. Well, actually I'm very old, but you know how all that immortal stuff works; young forever and all that.
Anywho, I was made on a stormy Halloween night over 100 years ago after sneaking out (on a dare) to take an early evening walk through Rookwood Necropolis, the beautiful Victorian Cemetery adjacent to my home. I am 16 and will be forever. My friends say that was the night evil came into the world; now honestly, do I look evil?
Until that fateful night all those years ago, I had lived a very sheltered and protected life. Although like most teenagers, I pushed the boundaries whenever I could. My Mama was very protective, she always worried about me, she was scared of everything and trusted no one. While growing up all I ever heard was, "don't do this, don't do that, you might get hurt", "don't talk to strangers" etc etc, and then after all those warnings I snuck out and met my fate, and everything changed forever.
Now that I'm immortal and nothing can ever hurt me again, taking risks is not as much fun as it used to be. Sure, occasionally I take some risks; you know things like; staying up until it's almost dawn; ordering garlic on my pizza; taking a peek at a particularly nice crucifix; but I found I needed something more to satisfy my rebellious nature. So, I decided to inflict the consequences of risk taking on my cuddly little teddy bear friends; don’t worry, they assure me they don’t mind, and like me, they're immortal.
So I make my teddies run with scissors, walk the plank, play hangman (with a real noose), play chicken with a lawnmower and anything else I can think of. After 100 years I'm all out of "nice" games to play.
I adore beautiful old cemeteries and I love photographing them, I also enjoy history (after all I've been around for a lot of it.)
I am a collector of beautiful things; art, furniture, clothing, jewellery, memories, people.
I don't like summer; I love winter. I revel in darkness. I hate glare and I loathe suntans (spray-on or genuine). I don't like crowds but I do enjoy being with other like-minded souls. I cannot stand noise, I enjoy the quiet.
I can't abide people who whine (yes, Louis this includes you). I have a very good, but very dark sense of humour. Thunderstorms make me happy, as does overcast weather. I enjoy walking in the rain. Paris is one of my favourite places and I have been there many times. I abhor bad manners and foolish people make my head throb. I am mad about purple nail polish and I believe that one can never look too fabulous.

What the!
Well, today is my first day on Indiepublic and already I have lots of new friends. I was just about finished uploading pics and putting the final touches to my profile whenI noticed that it had changed. Arrgghh!!!
Instead of my lovely "Gothic" theme, I now have a mess. So I apologise in advance for how it looks. No matter what I do I can't seem to make it work. I've treid other themes and they don't work either.
If anyone has any tips, please let me know. It's driving me crazy!
