Summer is almost here by the calendar, but it showed up here by temperature last week with temps at 100 degrees farenheit! I have joined a few "swap" groups on the internet lately, which has lead to a lot of paper recycling.Making post cards has been one of my favorites, not only do I get to recycle and make something pretty, but I also get to send a cheery hello to a total stranger. While I was in the shower a new idea popped into my head, the shower is where I get most of my ideas, it's the best place to think. As I was sitting here mending the holes in 2 pillows, patching a 6 inch hole in a blanket and glueing a shoe back together I realised that mending and repairing broken items is a form of recycling, isn't it? It would have been easier to just toss it all away and go buy new, but why? I have the know how to fix these things and even make them better.
