so all you trashion heads. how do we go about letting the world know that we unlock the secret to what to do about all the piles of trash under our feet? Saw an article on cnn the other day and was amazed that a trashion movement would have even been acknowledged on the main stream, pro oil news channel. How can we turn this movement into a necessity instead of a trend....?

I'm Amber and I just started my 100% USED campaign in my studio- I aspire to use or recycled 100% of everything that comes into my studio- little paper bits, scraps of fabric, receipts, packaging from supplies- all if it! You’re Invited! Trash Mash-Up is kicking off the 2008 parade season in San Francisco! We want you to be involved.

Saturday, April 12th 12:00 -12:30 pm parade, show up at 11:30am.
The Healthy Kids Event, presented by the YMCA and Hamilton Rec Connect. This event takes place in the Margaret S. Hayward Playground at Laguana and Golden Gate. It is a family fun day with lots of activities.

Saturday, April 26th 12:30-1:00 pm parade, show up at Noon. The Waste Wise Bag Parade, hosted by CUESA. This event takes place at the Embarcadero Ferry Building. It is a small parade to promote the use of reusable bags at the Farmer’s Market.

Sunday, May 25th Carnaval SF 2008! Parade runs 9:30 am-Noon. We line up at 8:30 am. The parade starts at Bryant & 24th to Mission to 17th to Harrison.

Trash Mash-Up’s Mash-Up Bashes are an opportunity to celebrate our local youth and families. These parades strengthen communities and raise awareness about consumption, reduction, and reuse. The Mash-Up Bashes are not possible without the participation from families and individuals like you. No performance experience necessary, snacks are always provided.
