Hi all, I am quite new to resin, but so far I am loving using it. The biggest problem I have is the price of it. I have been using Envirotex Epoxy Resin, but I was wondering if anyone could recommend something cheaper. I would be quite interested to hear what resins people use and also what Polyester resin is like? I would also be interested to know if anyone is making their own molds and how you go about this....?? Please check out my stuff on:

sometimes resin just anoys the hell out of me. I made a big batch yesterday again pouring a bangle and many small oval and rectangle molds. I added a bit extra hardener to make sure the bangle worked this time because the last two were a bit rubbery. So I had a tough time getting them out of the molds so I froze them and they all popped out except the bangle which promptly cracked like glass. Booboo number 1 :-( All of the things look beautiful except one major flaw, they all seem rubbery ! ACK !!! now I've not only wasted resin which I hate to do but all my nice inclusions will be lost as well. I'm hoping that by tomorrow at least the smaller pendants will be hard, I have no hope for the bangle bracelet.

Hi! I love to combine resin with "old" items that would otherwise be thrown out!

I'm a big fan of resin, although fairly new to using it. I have quite a bit to learn but I'm looking forward to it!
