@Gayle - I think it's been an exploit from spammers. I happen to stumble upon this kind of "followers" from now & then and I send a reply @spam with these usernames. But I've never been under siege by many at once.

Is anyone else getting hit by not-so-good sites with avatars of people in their birthday suites on Twitter? I've had to protect my tweets because I was getting 4-6 a day. Some were showing up as followers but I was not getting notified by e-mail. Not sure why this is happening and was wondering if it is a widespread thing. Also I'm not sure how to get it stopped...any ideas?
