I’m so excited to have joined! I’m a SAHM to 4 kids and with so much money going out and nothing coming in, I decided to start selling on Etsy. I’m arming myself with as much knowledge as I can to start off right. So far, I’ve had a lot of help with The Buzz's Etsy Success Guide (www.thebuzz.etsy.com) and Etsy labs. But I also want to hear from people like me who have Etsy shops. So plz share and I appreciate it so much!
Greetings and welcome. Reading everything you can that gives advice about your Etsy business, lots of great articles in the storque! I find even after being there for over a year there is a lot to learn. Which I am doing so slowly reading, reading, reading. I can't give you a lot of advice except be very patient with yourself. It takes a lot of time to build a customer base, self promote every where you can think of and keep learning. These are the things I am learning to do myself. Good luck to you
Hello...and welcome to the word of Etsy. Don't know how much I can offer other than make sure to so all of the social networking you can. I have recently found that joining sites like Indiepublic, other blogs, Twitter, etc on and on...can really boost sales, hearts, visits, views...you name it! I wish you the best with your new adventure.
Oh...and so darn cool about that website www.craftcult.com. Thanks Dwayne, that was a new one for me and SOOO informative.
Welcome! I have two kids, grade school age, and I am trying out the Etsy site since October 2008 so far. It is a lot of fun and gives you flexibility...for example...if you have travel plans or whatever you can put your shop in vacation mode. Kind of nice.
They have this new Google Analytics too which helps you track visits to your site and much, much more. Check out the forums for how to get setup with that! Good luck!!!
Hi,
I have an etsy shop, and I'll be glad to answer questions.
First of all, put your etsy shop on your page, so we can all see what your shop has to sell.
Good luck.

Welcome to both Indie & ETSY! You definitely want to check out the below link to get some tips of tagging your items as you add them to your ETSY store!
Also, on your "MY ETSY" main page you definitely want to look into the set-up the Google Analytics as this will help you monitor your ETSY store traffic. I have had it set-up for about a week and so far it seems to be a great tool!
Best of luck with everything and please feel free to add me as a friend on here and also as a favorite. If you should have any other questions by all means just let me know.
