Indiepublic

The Indiego is a new advertising site made for all of us indies, and it's free! The only requirement is that you have a working website or blog (your etsy shop page won't work).

How does it work? It's kind of a "I'll advertise you if you advertise me" thing. A bit like google ads, except that you'll have one small icon on your site. That will change every time you refresh the page. If you add this to your site, then you will be advertised as well on other people's site.

It's just launched so go fast and sign up! www.theindiego.com

Any comments or feedback are more than welcome

Sara ... I see the title, but there's no ad under the title, just white space. It's the same on my blog too.

I'm not either! I had someone from another group check my blog and she can see the ad! But I can't ... I have noooooo idea what's up. There's something going on here at my end. I'll pop Jesper and Morelle and e-mail and see if they can figure it out!

Aarghhh..It'd be great, but I can't put script in my blog.

Hi Valerie,

Why can't you put script on your blog? Send me or Jesper an email and we'll see if you can figure it out.

Sharing best practices is always the best route--it's a win/win. Having said that, I am stuuupid about blogs, know they are journals, but do I need a graphic designer for this? I am blog "challenged" or can at least say I've never looked into how one is prepared. Have read some and they are interesting.

How can I get started? Appreciate any feedback. I have an etsy shop cooljewelrydesign.

Thanks a bunch.

I did sign up but I had to remove it from my Website.

I tried to send an email to the contacts listed, but no one has responded.

The problem is, people are putting their URL where say the title should go and become a clickable link.

So, when they do that, my webpage gets all distorted, and I sure don't feel like emailing every single person who has filled out the fields incorrectly. It does clarify what goes were further down the page but it would be better if it was made easier for people to fill it in correctly.

There is nothing worse than looking at my Website with a big huge URL making people scroll left to right.

I hopped on the idea immediately and maybe they will take care of that issue some day. It really would be great except for that problem.

Hi Patty,

I never received an email about this. I will talk to Jesper about this today and see if we can fix it. Perhaps make it more clear to the users that they need to enter their name their and not their URL. I will keep in touch.
