Are you a jeans and tshirts kinda person? sweats? skirt and blouse? jacket and tie?
I was just thinking the other day how I would like to just wear jeans and tshirts all the time and was wondering what other people are most comfortable in. Do artists/ creative types tend to be inclined to similar styles of dress?
So, me: jeans, tshirt, hoodie and a pair of high top converse sneakers.
For me it would be corduroys (instead of jeans/yoga pants) and black mule sneakers instead of (converse/flip flops). Add to that: many layers. Two or three pairs of socks, thermals, etc. It gets very cold in Nova Scotia and I keep my thermostat low. (This of course is my cooler weather style.)
Funny thing is, since I have to wear my "teacher clothes" all days of the week, when i am at home, I wear the most ridiculous things... mismatched everything, lots of colors, and tees with inappropriate things printed on them. When the roommate is not home, I am always found in either no pants, or just a towel, even if I am just painting. Silly.
Out in public I am always in layers, a dress over pants, with bowling shoes, and a scarf in my hair, for example.
Yes, I am a quarter of a century, but I don't have to dress like I am, at least not on my own time.
I understand the feeling. My last dayjob was at a country club. As soon as I walked in the door, it was out of the suits and dressy clothes and into sweats, huge fluffy slippers and my hair up in crazy, sloppy ways.
Shorts or capris.. the knits that don't bind. Tops are sweatshirt with 3/4 sleeves (cut off) or tank tops. Shoes? hmmm If I have to wear them... then I just put on sandals that slip on. I don't like pants that go to the floor cuz they get in the way and I don't like sleeves for the same reason! Go figure!
definitely jeans, tshirt, hoodie and sneakers. I'm a comfort kinda person. Occasionally, I like to dress up a bit, and put on a skirt and shoe, but that's only once in a blue moon.
If I don't have to get dressed, I don't. I love to get up take a shower and put on clean jammies. Now, that doesn't happen very much, so it's jeans, tshirt, and keens or tennies for me.
Though I should say I'm probably a little too old to do converse or hoodies. And no graphic or boy type tees. Though I wish I could sometimes!! I just don't want to be one of those looks young from a distance but scary up close people lol. Shoes I do more boots or mules/clogs. A little dressier than sneakers but still casual enough for me to be comfortable. Growing up is tough stuff!! You have to be all appropriate and such. :P
